This look was inspired by my travels abroad in Japan and South Korea. These adventures taught me the importance of tradition as well as introduced me to the world of marketing.
This look was influenced by a Japanese urban legend of a vengeful spirit. This take on the story of a slit-mouthed woman blends the contemporary and traditional into a unique and terrifying look.
I have a passion for creatures and objects which are inherently alluring, and am thrilled when I can give them life in new forms.
I revel in fine detail work; I spent several weeks perfecting my forest of miniature ferns and leaves, and several months finishing my individually trimmed owl feathers. (It took even longer to clear the fluff out of my air vents). My Pacific Northwest surroundings provide constant stimuli for my work, if only I had the time and hands to craft it all!
I love the world of animated film making. I'm awed by features produced both in stop-motion and digital studios, and find work which blends traditional and contemporary animation techniques to be captivating and inspiring.
My other passions include making music, swimming, baking, playing games, traveling, and sewing - especially with good company.
